Moldavite is a rare bottle-green translucent stone of unearthly origins. Scientists postulate that a meteor shower in the Moldau Valley of Czechoslovakia some 15-20 million years ago caused extra-terrestrial material to fuse with earthly rock formations at very high heat, forming fused glass -- the only moldavite known to exist. Moldavites are the rarest of gems, perhaps more rare than diamonds, rubies or emeralds. Moldavites have been prized for over 25,000 years, since archaeologists have discovered moldavite shards and pieces in cave dwellings of that era.

In his book Moldavites: The Czech Tektites, Professor Vladimir Bouska states that "The first human being that was interested in Moldavites was a Cro-Magnon man from the aurignacian age, i.e., the Upper Paleolithic. Several potsherds [fragments] of green Moldavite glass were found together with the famous statue of Venus of Willendorf, which is about 29,000 years old, at Willendorf in Lower Austria.

"Moldavite is known as the "Grail Stone". Legends say that the Holy Grail was formed out of a green stone that fell from Lucifer's crown as he descended from his heavenly abode to Hell, impelled by the force of a blow from the sword of Michael the Archangel. Until recently it was assumed the Grail Stone was emerald, but recently metaphysical rock hounds have suggested that the true Grail Stone is moldavite, a translucent green gemstone that fell from the sky millions of years ago.

Moldavite activates any and all of the chakras and also opens the mind to the limitless possibilities inherent in its cosmic origins. Moldavite's energy tends to dissipate blocks throughout the energy system and then center energy in the heart, opening the heart to universal love.

The end of Moldavite?

A sudden and surprising event in the world of stones happened in the last months of 2020. The supply of Moldavite
suddenly seemed to vanish. At the Tucson Gem Show and Mineral shows last February, several buyers tried to purchase
our entire Moldavite collection. We declined their offers, because we wanted to be sure we could supply our regular
customers. It was fortunate we made the decision, because since then we have not been able to purchase a single piece
of Moldavite from our usual suppliers.

Why is this? What happened? It seems that a combination of factors has produced a "perfect storm" in the Moldavite
market. Because all the Moldavite arrived in a single meteor shower fifteen million years ago, it was always a stone
of finite supply. And in recent years Moldavite's popularity has surged everywhere, especially in Asia. Several of
the major digging sites have been exhausted. Then in April the Covid Pandemic brought the first lockdown in Czech
Republic. In October a second lock down was imposed. Because of all of these events, Authentic Moldavite is just
not available, and the prices for the few pieces of the market have gone up dramatically.

Are we really seeing the end of Moldavite? That's a question I wish I could answer. Another question we might ask
at this time is whether Moldavite has now fulfilled its purpose. From a small area in a small country, Moldavite
has emerged, and over the last thirty five years it has stimulated the spiritual evolution of many thousands of
people all over the planet. Moldavite now extends all around the whole Earth.

Moldavite's primary energetic effect has always been to stimulate and accelerate each person's spiritual path, in
the way that was best suited for them. Like the Stone of the Holy Grail, which it resembles. Moldavite has been a
powerful talisman of awakening. It is possible that Moldavite has fulfilled its "Mission" by spreading all around
the world, and does it sudden disappearance signal a shift that Moldavite has helped to seed? These questions hang
in the air of our transfomational times.

Of course I hope more Moldavites can be found, and that we can re stock our supplies. But I has also been thinking
about the sudden scarcity of Moldavite, wondering if it may be another signal that a great collective shift is at hand.
I can envision, for instance that all the Moldavite pieces, in the hands of so many different individuals, might be
be spontaneously "turned on" by a powerful surge of energy from Source. If this were to occur, people all over the
world would experience a sudden influx of Light. Perhaps the last 35 years have been necessary for this stone of
transformation to make its way into as many human hands as possible, in preparation for the great awakening that is
yet to come.
