From the same area of Italy where Michelangelo would travel to gather his Carrara Marble for his incredible masterpieces 500 years ago. On rare occasion there will be pieces of marble with fine tiny pure quartz points protruding out. I was able to procure a small group of these perfectly intact, immaculate.

Italian marble was used by Roman and Renaissance sculptors including Michelangelo.

Michelangelo was not only a visitor in the Carrara marble quarries, but that the great sculptor personally extracted the pieces of stone from the mountain, feeling in the hands, in the nature of the rock, the figure of his work of art already being molded.
